Food & Nutrition

We provide children with all snacks, drinks and meals throughout the day: breakfast, mid-morning fruit/snack, lunch and tea. We also have separate drink breaks, especially in hot weather and eat outside whenever the weather permits.

We follow the School Food Trust’s ‘Eat Well, Start Well’ guidance and have been awarded the Eat Well Start Well award by Surrey County Council and Surrey Public Health.

Our menu is based around the principles of low sugar, no added salt, minimal preservatives, all main food groups and 4-5 portions of fruit per day.

Meals are freshly prepared on-site by our cook. All main courses have a carefully chosen vegetarian alternative, and we are experienced in catering for children with allergies and other special dietary requirements including Halal.

Examples from our lunch menu include:

  • Shepherds Pie or Vegetable Pie
  • Salmon & Broccoli Pasta or Vegetable & Lentil Pasta Bake
  • Chicken Curry or Quorn Sausage Cassoulet

Typical side dishes include peas, sweet corn, carrots, etc.
